SOLE GOLD RUSH Teens are earning up to £2,000 a day trading rare trainers online
TEENAGERS are making up to £2,000 a day buying trainers on the high street and reselling them online.
The professional buyers queue up outside Oxford Street shops in London from 6am each day.
Some are skipping school to purchase up to 20 pairs of sought-after trainers a time.
They sell them on for £100 more than the retail price.
James Brown, 18, from Colchester, Essex, sidestepped university to resell trainers full-time.
He said: “It’s easy to make money. On a good day, I can make £2,000.”
They usually target trainers which are not made available to buy online and hence are the most sought-after.
The shops say it is unfair on legitimate customers but can do little to stop them.
The resellers are easy to spot with their large carrier bags loaded with footwear.
