The incident occurred in the morning when the child’s mother refused to his purchase request for the headset regardless of his begging and pleading. Unable to accept her answer, the boy was reported to have grabbed a kitchen knife and repeatedly stabbed his own mother, who died soon after paramedics arrived at the scene.
The child, whose name has not been released, is currently under investigation as shock and disbelief fill the small town. Witnesses report that the child briefly tried to resist police as he was taken into custody, but in the end he succumbed and was removed from the scene.
When asked to comment, the Boy’s father had no words, his anguish and sorrow fully evident in the tears and silent hugs shared with his remaining family.
